Philadelphia, PA (June 24, 2019) – POWERUP Toys, the creator of paper airplane motor kits for STEM education, is partnering with FliteTest to both sell its STEM kits and offer lessons via the FliteTest STEM curriculum portal (FTSTEM.com) that help teachers incorporate POWERUP Toys kits in the classroom. FTSTEM.com, an online education site giving teachers access to STEM curriculum, includes a variety of built-from-scratch aircraft lessons and professional development.

“At FliteTest, we offer educators and hobbyists a series of do-it-yourself products that focus on the power of flight and POWERUP Toys fit perfectly with our mission of helping educators empower students to make and learn,” said Jake Marshall, FliteTest’s curriculum director. “Our goal is to have students utilize a new system of tools and technology to encourage the design process while fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills.”

As part of the partnership, FliteTest created 12 lessons that incorporate POWERUP Toys kits and has made them available on FTSTEM.com. In addition, FliteTest will sell the POWER UP 2.0, POWERUP 3.0, and POWERUP DART STEM classroom kits. FTSTEM.com is available as an annual teacher license for $99. Teachers use the subscription to invite students to their class, view lesson plans, create their own lesson plans, have access to teaching resources, and view special educator pricing on materials to use in their class.

“We look forward to being introduced to the thousands of educators who are implementing exciting STEM aeronautics lessons in the classroom as part of FTSTEM.com,” Shai Goitein, CEO and founder of POWERUP Toys said. “We help students become innovative thinkers when we provide them with the tools and the opportunities to create, test, and refine their products. With this partnership, we will be able to provide these opportunities to even more students.”
