Step one: To understand each student’s unique attention profile, TALi DETECT offers a non-invasive, digital attention assessment that measures key attention skills. The assessment is completed in a single 25-minute session, where students work through seven engaging, game-based activities. After completing the assessment, your school will receive a detailed report for every student that outlines their performance in each of the exercises. As part of the report, each child will receive their own unique attention profile that maps their attention abilities against what is considered to be the average result for a child of their age and gender.
Step two: Using each student’s unique attention profile, educators can identify which children may benefit from TALi TRAIN, the first clinically validated program designed to directly strengthen attention in early childhood. The intensive training program offers 25 sessions using game-based activities that target four core attention skills including: selection, focus, control and inhibition. Each session takes approximately 20-25 minutes to complete, and it is recommended, based on research, that the sessions be held five days a week for five weeks. After students complete the program, teachers will have access to post-training attention assessments to see their gains.
Formats/platforms used:
TALi requires wi-fi enabled tablets that use either the Android or iOS systems. Users will also require Wi-Fi access to log in and out of the TALi apps, and to upload completed session data. Headphones are also recommended to eliminate any distractions. Program admins and teachers require a desktop internet browser to manage the upload of children into the TALi program, assign licenses and access results and classroom/individual reports.
